its funny how outside the battlefield they were tought that the enemy were fearless brutes but in the battlefield is a totaly different story during WWI. All those men who just wanted to stay alive and go home it was really sad that both had the same thought and the same orders, guess they were just fighting like brothers in Europe...

Really lovely. My greatgrandfather was a army doctor in WWII, so this one is really meaningful to me (and I hope for everybody else too)

I truly love this scene, even though it does come about as rather flat in parts (mainly top left, and I mean lacking depth in the purely physical sense).
Also, drawings that show the immediate aftermath of a battle rather than the start or middle are very rare (probably because it's hard to make them suitably heroic/propagandistic), and this is a very good one.
A well deserved :+fav:.
